Art appraiser and auctioneer Kaja Veilleux discovered a 17th century painting by Rembrandt, titled “Portrait of a Girl,” in an attic in Camden, Maine. The painting was sold for A$2.1 million, after being found with a label indicating it was loaned to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for an exhibition in 1970. Veilleux, from Thomaston Place Auction, expressed surprise at the valuable discovery during routine house calls.
