Shares in European aerospace giant Airbus (OTC: EADSY) increased by up to 4% in early trading following Vietjet’s announcement to double its orders of Airbus A330neo aircraft from 20 to 40 during French President Macron’s visit to Vietnam. This expansion comes as Vietjet, which already has an all-Airbus fleet, aims to enhance its wide-body aircraft capabilities for longer-haul flights, bolstering Airbus’ position in the competitive market. The order provides a significant boost for Airbus’ A330neo program, which had limited orders recently.
