Ian Huntley’s mother did not recognize him after prison attack

Ian Huntley, the convicted child killer of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, remains critically ill in hospital following a brutal attack by another inmate at HMP Frankland. His mother, Lynda Richards, visited him and reportedly struggled to recognize him due to severe brain injuries and other extensive trauma. Triple murderer Anthony Russell, identified as the prime suspect in the assault, allegedly attacked Huntley after an argument in a workshop. Huntley, serving a life sentence, has previously survived multiple assassination attempts in prison.
