College football reporter Dave Wilson reports that SMU quarterback Preston Stone will enter the NCAA transfer portal but intends to stay with the No. 11 Mustangs for their College Football Playoff run. Stone, a junior from Dallas, started 12 games last season, leading SMU to an AAC title. After starting the first three games this season, he was replaced by Kevin Jennings, who credited his success to learning from Stone and Tanner Mordecai in previous seasons.
