The community surrounding Montreal’s DIY-built skatepark, Projet 45, was recently informed of plans to demolish and rebuild the space from scratch, as revealed by original builder Sébastien Petit. In response, organizers held a skating contest to raise awareness and demonstrate that the community is still active and fighting to protect the skatepark from destruction. The event aimed to showcase the importance of the skatepark and gather support to prevent its demolition.
