Closed for the season, Six Flags Great America in Gurnee saw exciting new attractions announced following the merger of Six Flags and Cedar Fair, with 42 parks in the company’s portfolio across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Despite rumors of park closures, a company spokesperson denied any such plans while confirming the start of the demolition of Six Flags New Orleans. Additionally, Six Flags Great America is set to open its 16th roller coaster, Wrath of Rakshasa, in 2025, featuring a unique “dive coaster” experience with a beyond vertical drop and five inversions.
