A wildfire in Inyo and Mono counties prompted evacuations due to rapid spread amid strong winds and low humidity, with at least 1,000 acres burned as of 7:50 p.m. More than 200 personnel were battling the fire, which was moving quickly to the east and northeast. Mandatory evacuations were in place for multiple areas, and a high-wind warning was issued for Monday with gusts up to 65 mph expected.
