Silent for 800 years, medieval organ sings again in Jerusalem

Ancient pipes from an 11th-century organ, discovered near the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, have been restored to produce their original sound, allowing modern listeners to experience melodies from a millennium ago. This unique instrument, now housed in Jerusalem’s Monastery of Saint Saviour, was carefully excavated and reconstructed, marking a significant historical and musical revival.
