The devastating incident occurred at Swan Boat Club in Berlin Charter Township around 3 p.m., with the vehicle coming to a halt 25 feet inside the building where the party was taking place, Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough disclosed at a news conference later that evening.
The siblings, a 5-year-old boy and his 8-year-old sister, tragically lost their lives at the scene. Their identities have not been made public, and it remains unclear if the party was in celebration of either child.
