An East Kilbride high school was locked down after shocked pupils reportedly witnessed a man being violently attacked outside the gates.
Calderglen was on high alert as cops scrambled to High Common Road in St Leonards at around 12.55pm on Tuesday, March 5 following reports of a man being assaulted as pupils were out on their lunch break.
Lanarkshire Live understands the school was locked down as soon as the alarm was raised.

Local reports suggest pupils witnessed the alleged weapon attack which left a man injured.
Images from the scene show a police car and an ambulance sitting stationary on High Common Road.
Another shows an officer standing in the middle of the road with police signs and cones blocking oncoming traffic.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.55pm on Tuesday, March 5 police were called to the High Common Road area of East Kilbride, following the reported assault of a man.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
South Lanarkshire Council were contacted for comment.
