The Eknath Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena has released the first list of candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde set to contest from the Kopri-Pachpakhadi constituency. The party has announced 45 candidates in the initial list, including Arjun Khotkar for the Jalna seat and Sadanand Shankar Sarvankar for the Mahim seat in Mumbai against Amit Thackeray. Other candidates named in the list include Manisha Ravindra Wayakar, Dilip Bhausaheb Lande, Mangesh Anant Kudalkar, Yamini Yashwant Jadhav, and Kiran Samrat, the brother of Maharashtra Minister of Industries Uday Samant, for various Assembly constituencies.
