Chris Stuckmann, filmmaker of the horror movie Shelby Oaks, shared the emotional journey of completing his project after running out of funds, until Neon stepped in to assist. The film, which follows a woman searching for her sister missing for 12 years, faced significant production challenges due to financial constraints, leading to the loss of several intended scenes. With Neon’s support, Stuckmann was able to revisit his original vision and add elements he had previously abandoned. Shelby Oaks, marking Stuckmann’s directorial debut, is now playing in US theaters after raising nearly $1.4 million on Kickstarter.
