Kayaker Spots Bull Shark in Canning River

A warning has been issued following a kayaker’s encounter with a three-meter bull shark in the Canning River near Perth on Wednesday morning. The shark was sighted approximately 12 meters off the Rossmoyne Foreshore while the kayaker was in knee-deep water, but no injuries were reported. Surf Life Saving WA and local authorities are advising residents to exercise caution in the area. Updates on shark activity can be accessed through the SharkSmart website and app.
