A wildlife photographer, Charvet Drucker, captured dramatic footage off Seattle of a pod of killer whales hunting a seal, which escaped by climbing onto her boat. While observing the orcas’ coordinated hunting techniques, Drucker filmed the seal as it sought refuge on her vessel, despite the orcas attempting to dislodge it. After about 15 minutes, the orcas left, allowing the seal to safely jump back into the water. Although Drucker usually supports the orcas, she found herself rooting for the seal during this encounter.
