Execution Scheduled for Florida Man Convicted of Double Murder

Michael Bernard Bell, 54, is set to be executed in Florida for the 1993 murders of Jimmy West and Tamecka Smith, committed during a revenge attack. Despite appeals citing new evidence, the Florida and U.S. Supreme Courts upheld his conviction, making him the eighth person executed in Florida in 2024, amidst a significant increase in executions nationwide.
