When Health NZ – Te Whatu Ora was established three years ago, its goal was to ensure equal treatment for all New Zealanders with similar health needs, eliminating the “postcode lottery.” However, a recent report by Auditor-General John Ryan highlights that planned care remains “not equitable or timely,” indicating that significant challenges still lie ahead despite some progress.
