South Korea’s former first lady accused of bribery and interference.

South Korean prosecutors have accused former President Yoon Suk-yeol’s wife, Kim Keon-hee, of taking over $200,000 in bribes and illegally meddling in state affairs. The prosecution team sought a 15-year prison sentence for Kim, who denies any wrongdoing. The investigation also implicates Unification Church leader Han Hak-ja for allegedly giving Kim valuable items in exchange for influence. Former President Yoon faces charges related to a martial law bid and is on trial for suspected insurrection, with a ruling expected in early 2026.
