South Korea and Japan dispatch warplanes in response to Russia and China’s air patrol.

Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that Russian and Chinese planes entered South Korea’s air defence zone during a joint exercise, leading to the scrambling of fighter jets by both South Korea and Japan. The aircraft, including bombers and fighter jets, entered the KADIZ before leaving an hour later. Japan also deployed military aircraft in response to the joint air patrol conducted by Russia and China. The escalating tensions come amid increasing military activities by both countries near South Korea and Japan, as well as the recent accusations of Chinese fighter jets directing their radar at Japanese aircraft.
