Russian attacks on Ukraine energy set to push 500,000 people out of country

The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine has issued an alert regarding significant damage to power plants and the worsening energy crisis, impacting access to electricity, clean water, heating, and consumer prices. The Mission reported a coordinated attack on the national grid on 26 August, described as one of Russia’s largest since the full-scale invasion began, involving over 100 missiles.
