Russia to spend over half a billion dollars to bolster internet censorship system

Russia’s digital development ministry plans to allocate nearly 60 billion roubles ($660 million) over the next five years to enhance the TSPU system for censoring web traffic. The system, controlled by Roskomnadzor, utilizes homegrown tools for traffic management. The proposal aims to improve the state’s control over online content.
