Russia recognises the Taliban: Which other countries may follow? | Conflict News

Russia has officially recognized the Taliban government in Afghanistan, becoming the first country to do so since the group’s return to power in 2021. The Russian Foreign Ministry stated this recognition will enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors, while the Taliban welcomed the decision as a courageous step that may encourage others to follow suit.
