Russia must make reparations for MH17, Australia says

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has urged Russia to make reparations for the 2014 downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 after the European Court of Human Rights found Moscow responsible for the incident, which resulted in the deaths of 298 people, including 38 Australians. Despite the ruling and a previous finding by the International Civil Aviation Organisation, Russia denies responsibility and does not recognize the court’s authority.
