Russia is developing a domestic video game console with an Elbrus processor and Russian Linux operating systems, aimed at playing “domestic video game products.” Another cloud-gaming device called Fog Play is also in the works. These efforts are part of Russia’s broader technological sovereignty plans, which include using Astra Linux and creating its own Multiscanner platform. However, Russia’s heavy reliance on Chinese technology will likely hinder its goal of achieving true technological independence.
