In May, Poland ordered Russia’s consulate in Krakow to shut after accusations Moscow orchestrated fire at Warsaw shopping centre.

In response to Poland’s closure of its Krakow consulate following accusations of Russian involvement in a shopping center fire, Russia announced it would close Poland’s consulate in Kaliningrad from August 29. Diplomatic relations have soured further due to Poland’s support for Ukraine amid ongoing tensions involving sabotage and cyberattacks.
