Metropolitan Films, in collaboration with Cuba Pictures, is producing a comedy drama based on Marian Keyes’ novels about the Walsh family, with funding from Screen Ireland. BBC has acquired the UK broadcasting rights for the series. Led by writer Stefanie Preissner and director Ian Fitzgibbon, the show will center on the lives of five sisters in Dublin and is set to premiere on RTE before airing on BBC 1 and the BBC iPlayer.

Tattoo-faced man on the run from police spotted at pub
Jon Michael Lee, 24, is wanted by police for escape from custody after being arrested for driving offences and burglary. He was last seen in CCTV footage at the Up in Arms Pub in Oxford, and authorities urge the public not to approach him but to call 999 if spotted, as he has a distinctive tattoo of two cherries on his left cheekbone.
