RSPCA offer free food and health checks in Balga in bid to improve animal care amid cost-of-living pressures

RSPCA WA is hosting a community action day in Balga on June 12 from 1pm to 3pm, offering free pet food, health checks, and training tips to assist local pet owners facing cost-of-living challenges. The event includes microchipping, flea and worming treatments, and aims to prevent welfare concerns for pets, with a focus on addressing the 399 animal cruelty reports in the area. Attendees can bring social, vaccinated dogs and puppies on a leash, and a follow-up event will be held in Clarkson on June 18.
