New Zealand is lowering the starting age for free bowel cancer screening from 60 to 58 years, beginning Monday in Northland, Auckland, and the South Island, with the rest of the North Island to follow in March. Health Minister Simeon Brown emphasized that this initiative aims to prevent deaths by enabling thousands more to access early testing for effective treatment.
