A 59-year-old Ravensthorpe man, Ronald Houghton, has been charged with distributing child exploitation material and is facing additional charges of producing such material. During a court hearing, it was revealed that police found explicit content, including images of bestiality, on Houghton’s devices, which he claimed he did not know was illegal. He was fined $800 for possessing “disturbing” pornography and has a committal hearing scheduled for April 16. Houghton has not yet entered pleas for the child exploitation charges.
