Romanian Driver Jumps Car Over Roundabout in Accident

A 49-year-old driver in Oradea, Romania, survived a dramatic incident after fainting at the wheel, causing his Mercedes to launch over a roundabout and into the air, which was captured on CCTV. The remarkable footage, dubbed ‘the first flying car’, went viral on December 3. Although the driver sustained multiple fractures, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was subsequently fined 1,600 Romanian Lei and suspended from driving for 90 days. Investigators attributed the incident to a hypoglycemic crisis that led to the driver losing control.
