MONTREAL (AP)

Jason Robertson scored two goals and added an assist as the Dallas Stars defeated the Montreal Canadiens 7-0, with Casey DeSmith achieving his first shutout of the season by stopping 24 shots. The Stars, who have now won four consecutive games, also received goals from Wyatt Johnston, Esa Lindell, Tyler Seguin, Colin Blackwell, and Alexander Petrovic. Despite Montreal controlling much of the first period, they fell behind after Johnston’s power-play goal, and the Stars dominated the second period to secure the victory. The Canadiens have lost four of their last five games and will host Boston next, while the Stars will face Philadelphia on Saturday.
