Sinners is a bold vampire film directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers in 1932 Mississippi who face vampire threats while trying to establish a blues club. The film intertwines music with horror, using blues and Irish folk music to symbolize cultural trauma and exploitation, while showcasing visceral vampire violence and emotional depth. Although it runs about 30 minutes too long, the strong performances, particularly by Delroy Lindo, and Coogler’s ambitious storytelling create a stylish and impactful horror experience.
