A rescue bear underwent significant dental surgery after spending years in captivity.
Video footage shows Norman receiving treatment on the operating table at a bear sanctuary in Armenia after being rescued by International Animal Rescue.
While in captivity, Norman’s teeth were gradually damaged to the point of shattering and becoming infected.
Due to a lack of mental stimulation, Norman would gnaw on the bars of his enclosure, leading to further damage to his teeth and causing him significant pain while eating.
International Animal Rescue is seeking donations to help fund similar surgery for another bear named Misha.
