Reports: Cowboys acquire QB Joe Milton III from Patriots

The Dallas Cowboys have acquired quarterback Joe Milton III from the New England Patriots in exchange for a fifth-round pick and a seventh-round pick. Milton, who made his NFL debut with the Patriots in a win against the Buffalo Bills, will now serve as the backup to Dak Prescott in Dallas, replacing Cooper Rush. The Patriots, with Drake Maye as their starting quarterback, also have Josh Dobbs on the depth chart after signing him to a two-year deal last month.
