A man named Reece Galbraith has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after a cannabis lab explosion in Benwell, Newcastle, killed seven-year-old Archie York and 35-year-old Jason Laws. The blast, caused by the dangerous use of butane gas in drug production, resulted in £3.7 million worth of damage, leaving families homeless and injuring six others. In a poignant court statement, Archie’s mother expressed her grief, stating that Galbraith’s actions shattered her world and underscored the tragedy of losing her son in what should have been the safety of their home.
