Reddit Rival Digg Is Making a Comeback, Using AI to Moderate

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 41, and former rival Kevin Rose, 48, are teaming up to relaunch Digg, a social and link-sharing website founded by Rose in 2004. The new Digg will feature AI content moderators, a unique feature not yet implemented by Reddit, aiming to combat spam and filter content more effectively. The platform, set for a mobile-first relaunch, has garnered over 175,000 sign-ups, with Justin Mezzell appointed as CEO and investments from Seven Seven Six and True Ventures, as the team aims to revitalize the once-popular website in the face of competition from Reddit’s advanced AI capabilities.
