The Red Sox acquired minor league right-hander Joe Vogatsky from the Pirates in exchange for utility player Enmanuel Valdez. Valdez, who made his MLB debut in 2023, played 125 games with the Red Sox, hitting .235 with 20 doubles and 12 home runs.
