Xabi Alonso Appointed Real Madrid Manager
Xabi Alonso has been named the new manager of Real Madrid, returning to the club where he played for six seasons and won multiple trophies. The 43-year-old has signed a three-year contract until June 2028, succeeding Carlo Ancelotti, who left after failing to secure a major trophy during his second stint. Alonso, who led Bayer Leverkusen to a Bundesliga title and a German Cup win last season, will officially take charge on June 1, ahead of the Club World Cup in the U.S. next month.
