In June 2021, a criminal investigation into the devastating fire that destroyed much of the village of Lytton, B.C., was unable to determine the cause, according to RCMP. The fire, which killed two people and ravaged the village and part of the Lytton First Nation, occurred the day after a record-breaking temperature of 49.6 C was recorded in the area. RCMP stated that they were unable to establish the cause of the fire and could not prove any criminal offence.

Delta jet aborts takeoff to avoid collision with plane landing in Mexico City
A Delta flight with 144 passengers aborted takeoff at Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport to avoid colliding with an AeroMéxico jet landing ahead of it, coming within 200 feet of each other.
