Rapper RBX has filed a federal class action lawsuit against Spotify, alleging that the platform has ignored fraud that inflated streams of Drake’s songs through fake users or bots. The suit claims that this fraudulent activity, from January 2022 to September 2025, has caused significant financial harm to legitimate artists by reducing their share of royalties. While RBX does not accuse Drake of wrongdoing, he seeks damages for rights holders defrauded out of “hundreds of millions of dollars.” The lawsuit highlights ongoing concerns about Spotify’s business model and its impact on musicians’ earnings.
