On the day before Thanksgiving, our car battery died while waiting in line for the Fauntleroy ferry to Vashon, causing a delay for everyone. Two stellar ferry workers, a woman directing traffic and a man helping with the jump start, came to our rescue with grace and a smile. Their quick action and kindness saved the day and ensured we could enjoy our long weekend getaway.

4 Killed and Hundreds Rescued From Flooding in South Texas and Mexico
Flooding in South Texas and Mexico resulted in at least four deaths and hundreds of rescues after over 20 inches of rain fell near the border. Three deaths were confirmed in Hidalgo County, with a fourth in Reynosa, Mexico.
