Rajouri deaths: Leaves of docs, paramedics cancelled in view of ‘health emergency’

In response to a medical alert in Rajouri, the leaves of all doctors and paramedics at GMC Rajouri have been cancelled following the deaths of 17 members of three families from Badhaal village due to a mysterious illness. Eight deaths occurred since Jan 12, prompting the village to be declared a containment zone with ongoing investigations into the cause. A special team is probing the criminal angle after neurotoxins were found in samples, while the government has deployed additional medical students to aid in the situation and cancelled winter vacations to address the health crisis.
