Rajasthan moves SC to be party in case on marital rape exception under Section 375 | India News

The state of Rajasthan has moved the Supreme Court to be a party in a case concerning the marital rape exception under Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code. The state government argued that the exception violates the fundamental rights of women and goes against the principles of equality and justice. The Supreme Court will now hear arguments from the state government and other parties involved in the case.
