RAF veteran Chris Dennis, 80, is urging the Ministry of Defence to extend reparations to those discharged for their sexuality prior to 1967. Dennis was dishonorably discharged in 1966 after being court-martialed for being gay, missing out on a £50,000 compensation package by mere months. Although the UK government set up a £75 million scheme for LGBTQ+ veterans discharged between 1967 and 2000, Dennis feels marginalized and unrecognized, unable to participate fully in Remembrance Day events.
