The Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, emphasized the importance of inclusive engagement, including with non-state actors like Hamas, for regional peace. Qatar’s relationship with Hamas and the Taliban’s political office has been aimed at facilitating communication and peace negotiations. Sheikh Mohammed denied allegations of funding Hamas directly, stating that aid goes to the Palestinian people. He criticized Israel’s attack on Qatar as unethical and pledged continued support for the reconstruction of Gaza, opposing any forced displacement of Palestinians.
