Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia should start producing previously banned missiles in response to the US withdrawing from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. Putin stated that Russia needs to ensure its security and will not be left defenseless in the face of potential threats. The decision to produce these missiles comes after the US accused Russia of violating the treaty, leading to its withdrawal in 2019.
