Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was ordered by a French labour court to pay former forward Kylian Mbappe up to 61 million euros in unpaid wages and bonuses after his departure to Real Madrid in June 2024. Mbappe had initially claimed over 260 million euros, while PSG sought 440 million euros, partly based on an aborted transfer to Al Hilal. The court awarded 55 million euros in salary and approximately 6 million euros in holiday payments, which PSG may appeal. Mbappe’s legal actions stemmed from his treatment by the club during the 2023-24 season, including being sidelined after refusing to sign a new contract.
