PSA unboxed, the innovation arm of PSA International, and Amperesand will trial solid-state transformer technology in Singapore’s port to decarbonize through electrification, providing high-power charging infrastructure for PSA’s electric fleet with intelligent energy monitoring. Featuring silicon carbide devices and high-frequency modules, the solution aims to increase efficiency and reduce grid strain, enabling PSA to manage electric vehicle charging economically and scalably. This one-year proof of value partnership starting in mid-2025 will validate Amperesand’s technology for potential further port electrification, aligning with PSA’s commitment to sustainable electrification and operational resilience.
