Kerri Pegg, a 42-year-old prison governor, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for misconduct after engaging in a relationship with Liverpool drug boss Anthony Saunderson. Pegg, who had signed off on Saunderson’s temporary release while he was serving time for drug offenses, was found with luxurious items linked to him and was convicted of two counts of misconduct in a public office and possession of criminal property. Her actions raised concerns about her proximity to Saunderson, who continued to operate a drug enterprise while involved in rehabilitation programs in prison.
