President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Vishwashanti Buddha Vihar at Udgir in Maharashtra’s Latur district, where a 520-kilogram, 10.5-foot-tall statue of Lord Buddha was installed. The President, on a visit to Maharashtra, arrived in Nanded before being flown to Udgir for the event, which included a prayer conducted at the Buddha Vihara following the inauguration.
