Elzbieta Olszewska, a Polish woman facing deportation for mistakenly filling in an online form instead of on paper, has been granted permission to stay in the UK following a change of heart by the Home Office. The 80-year-old had been living alone in Warsaw before moving to the UK last September to be closer to her son, Michal Olszewski, a dual British-Polish citizen. Michal had been traveling regularly to Poland to support his mother, who now can remain in Britain with her family.
